When Jeanette Shalginewicz of East Bridgewater wanted to refresh her hair color this month, she decided to try the new聽hair salon at 小优短视频nical Institute, in South Easton. She was very pleased with the results, which took out聽the brassiness from her blonde hair and gave her a more natural tone.聽鈥淚鈥檝e been coming to the high school salon for 25 years, and I thought I would try this. It鈥檚 well supervised, and I love the聽results,鈥 she said.
Jeanette is one of dozens of customers who are quickly becoming regulars at the evening cosmetology clinic, open聽Tuesday and Thursday evenings by appointment. It has been open since October, and it is staffed by the school鈥檚 first聽class of cosmetology students, who started school last March.
鈥淚t鈥檚 been very, very busy,鈥 said Debbie Lapworth, one of three cosmetology instructors that supervise the students.聽鈥淭he prices are amazing, and the services are less than one-third the cost of regular salons,鈥 she said.
The salon offers a wide range of services, with the most popular being hair color, styling, and manicures. The facility聽also has professional, top-of-the-line equipment and supplies, including plush, cushioned seats for manicures and聽pedicures, and first-rate hair products, including Matrix and Goldwell.
鈥淚鈥檝e been happy with everything. This is the best place to go because they get it right,鈥 said Maggie Myers, of聽Stoughton.
The students who serve the customers have all had more than 700 hours of instruction, which is more than required to聽work with the public. Many of the clients are family members and friends, but word is quickly spreading, and the clinic is聽booking more new customers as the year progresses.
One of the best deals include a day of beauty, which includes a choice of any three services for $30, including spa聽manicure, spa pedicure, spa facial, shampoo and style, waxing, and scalp or conditioning treatment.
